Last weekend I went on hunting trip. We went to a little cabin on a mountain south of Lake Chlean. It was really fun. I got to miss a day of school and get out a little bit early from school on Thursday. We caught the 2:30 ferry on Thursday and we got to the cabin at 7:00. When we got there we started a fire and partied all night. I made a bet with a guy that night named Trevor that if I shot a deer on opening day first he had to clean it, but if he shot one first on opening day I had to clean it. After that I went to bed in our trailer. I woke up at 8 o'clock on Friday. One of our friends who owned the cabin showed up before we even woke up. It wasn't opening day so we used our ATVs to go scouting. We found this really cool cabin in the woods that looked like the last person to see it was in 1930. The next day it was opening day. We went back to the place we had found because there was a little stream next to it and we figured the deer would like that. When we got there the guy who owned it kicked us off of his propriety for trespassing. When we got back to the car we decided to do some road hunting. At the last minute we decided to take a turn on a road we had not been on before. after about 100 yards my grandpa saw a hude 4-point on the hill next to us. Since he saw it first he got to shoot it. His first shot missed and hit his back leg. The second shot hit its lungs perfectly and dropped it. After that we cleaned it and took it back to camp. We didn't see a deer after that. On Monday morning we packed up and left. We got hame at 5:00.
That sounds like a lot of fun. That stinks that you didn't get to kill a deer yourself. I've never killed one,but up in Winthrop there our tons of them! You usually see about 5 a day in the summer. It's a long ride though. And full of hillbillies.
Hey, its Camden. That really sounds like fun. I went there over the summer. Im hoping i can go hunting this summer with my uncle. But ill probably go fishing instead. Anyways that is still cool that you guys killed one. Even if you werent the one that killed it. So it was a good story and keep on writing!

I'm glad to hear that the trip was successful. Did you get a chance to try some of the meat?
