Zombie Face

In English and social studies we are all making movies. I and in a group with Isaac, Ben, and Camden. I am the editor and we all directed the movie together. Isaac wrote the script although we are not following it very well. Someone told me that the best directors are able to improvise, so that would make us excellent directors. We have almost finished our movie. Our movie is called Zombie Face, but we might change the title. The movie is about zombies. So far the movie is looking really good. I should finish it tonight and I will start working on a preview for the movie. If I can finish it by Thursday night I will be able to put it in the Friday Show. Our movie is full of random stuff that makes it funny. It doesn't have jokes in it, but it is funny because it is so ridicules. I think we are going to get a good grade on it. I hope that is does good at the rain dance festival. The end.

Q: Did you stand up straight but stay relaxed?
A: I stood up strait for most of my presentation. I think I looked a little nervous, so I look uncomfortable.

Q: Did you pause for a moment before you began your speech?
A: I did pause for a few second before I started my presentation. I think I pause for a good amount of time.

Q: Did you look at your audience?
A: I looked at my audience the entire time. I also did this part of the presentation well.

Q: Did you let your facial expressions naturally reflect what you were saying?
A: While I was presenting, I was nervous about being in front of people, so my face did not reflect what I was saying well. I think I could definitely improve on my facial expressions.

Q: Did you use your hands?
A: I used my hands a little bit during my presentation. I could have used them more, but I didn't want to use them too much.

Q: Did you speak loudly enough so that everyone could hear you?
A: I spoke loudly enough for every one in the class to hear me. I was very good at keeping my volume.

Q: Did you change your tone to show how you felt (upset, excited) about an idea or to emphasize a point?
A: I used my tone a few times to emphasize my ideas and thoughts. I could have use tone a little more, but I think mine was fine.

Q: Was your speed of delivery too fast, too slow or just right?
A: I feel that my presentation delivery was just right. I never felt like I was going to fast or to slow.

Q: Did you practice your speech at home before giving it?
A:I practiced my speech at home twice before giving it. I practiced once in front of my Mom, and once in front of my Mom and Dad.

Q: What did you notice that you did well in your speech?
A: I think I presented my information well. I also think that I kept my speech shot and to the point.

Q: Describe one aspect of public speaking you will work to improve?
A: I have always been nervous about speaking in front of people. I think that once I can overcome my fear of being in front of other people for long periods of time, I will also be able to work out any flaws my speech might have, like hand movement or facial expressions.

Skiing Last Saturday

Last weekend I went skiing with my family. We went to Crystal Mountain. We decided that we would go on Tuesday, and I had been waiting since then. I was very exited in the morning. I had only been to Crystal one time this season. The first thing I did was I put on all of my ski gear, then I got in the car. It took us 2 and a half hours to get there. Once we got there the parking lot was very full. Thankfully we found a good parking space in lot C. It was lightly snowing and the snow was great. when we got there I was all ready ready, but I had to wait for my whole family to put all of their gear on. Finally we were all ready and we got our tickets. After almost 4 hours I finally started skiing. The snow was really good. My mom went with my sister and my dad and I went up the High Camble Lift to the top of the mountain. It was fun skiing but my dad's feet kept cramping up so it took him a long time to get down the hill. After we got down the hill one time it was 12 o'clock, so it was time to meet my mom for lunch. My dad and I got there before my mom did. During lunch there was a blizzard and it was snowing like crazy. After we ate I decided that I would ski with my mom and my sister would ski with my dad. Immediately after lunch the wind was blowing extremely hard. After about an hour the wind died down and the snow was amazing. I have never skied in snow so good. I ran into Nash Grim about 3 times and we talked a little bit. We left at about 5 o'clock. We got home at 7:30 PM. I had a good day skiing.

This is Just to Say

I have eaten
the bananas
that were in
your lunch box

and which
you were probably
saving
for lunch

Forgive me
they were tasty
just like
a plumb

Riddle Poem

I am divided up into several different sections
I support life
I am larger then all of the land masses put together
I am made up of liquid
I can bring death
I can save your life

Fred G. Patterson is a creature from outer space. He is an alien man. Fred is 25 years old. He is from the planet Mars. His skin is bright green. Instead of human hands, he has pinchers, like a crab. His pinchers are reddish orange, just like a crab. He has small eyes and a small mouth. His head is shaped like an upside down tear drop. Fred has black eyes and no hair.

Fred is a very nice and caring alien. Fred has a lot of close friends and is very popular. He works for the National Government of Mars. He is a secret agent. He is often gone from home for days at a time due to top secret missions. He is also a part time spy. Fred is one of the most successful aliens ever to live.

Fred also has a life at home. Fred likes to go to the park with his best friend Goldey. Goldey is a gold fish with four legs, like a dog. Fred has a state of the art flying saucer. The flying saucer looks just like a Frisbee. Fred’s favorite store is Walmart, because of the wide variety and the great deals on all of their products. Fred is a big fan of the local football team, the Spacehawks.

Fred has a large family. He does not have any children though, but he has many alien cousins. Fred is the oldest in his family. He has four brothers, Fred Two, Fred Three, Fred Four, and Fred Five, and one sister, Fredalina. Fred has had several girlfriends in the past but is currently single. There is no doubt in my mind, that when Fred is dead, he will have been one of the greatest aliens ever.

What I Did When it Snowed

If you didn't know, this year, just before Christmas break, it snowed. I live on one of the highest places on Whidbey Island so there was 4-8 inches of snow. I had a lot of fun. One of the things I did when it was snowing was go sledding. There is a huge hill in the front of our house so we didn't have to go anywhere. I only sledded on the first day because on the second day of snow my uncle Ole let me barrow his snowboard. On the third of fourth or fifth day of snow (I can't remember) my family had a house warming party and a lot of cousins came over and we all snowboarded. My older cousin built a 4- 5 foot tall jump. We also tied ropes to the back of our quads and I pull some people around on there snowboards. Some of the adults there brought over a huge square inflatable thing that is mean to be pulled behind a boat, and they tied it to a 4-wheeler. On the same day both of the quads got flipped. A few days later I went to Stevens Pass and went snowboarding for the first time at an actual ski resort. I did pretty good for my first time (except for when I was at my house). Some people say that snowboarding is way cooler than skiing, but I think that skiing is way better. You can go down harder hills on skis with out as much practice. Also, I am really exited about doing the ski bus this Saturday. I went on the ski bus one time before and it was really cool.
